Vernon Hill School

My friend got shot with a bbgun aout 2 months ago walking home from school. he went to vernon hill and the shooter was a classmate . i dont like the school because its full of gangs and the principal only tells them to stop she does not do anything about it.

The principal at VHS, Joanna Bowolick, is truly an advocate for the children, has employed brilliant programs and methods which resulted in our school making AYP this year for the first time in history. My son has been there since pre-school and I have found the educators to be caring and very capable, some truly outstanding. The school has a family atmosphere and the building itself it well-maintained and beautiful. The library was totally re-done, filled with new books, lexiled and is maintained an run by our dedicated PTO members Denise R. & Sharon F. Our PTO is quite small, but very dedicated and effective. We have a great spree day celebration for the children at the end of the school year.
