Community & Education are the two words that come to mind when I think of SPM. My children went to a small local elementary school in Worcester and making the step to SPM was the best decision we have made as a family. SPM becomes an extension of your family, where you also have a feeling of complete safety for your child. The staff is completely accommodating, and the teachers are intelligent, captivating, energetic, and exceptional educators. They go above and beyond, to work around a child s schedule for extra help needs. Whether they come in at 6:15am for a help session because they student has practice after school, or staying to assist with projects after school hours. They AP classes offered to the upper classman are some of the best in the country, with new classes being added every year. The extra-curricular activities including Athletics, Drama, Math Team, Journalism, Guardian Club, Jr. NHS and NHS, etc round out their junior high and high school years with a sense of accomplishment, no matter where their interests lie. This is an easy decision if you are looking for the best College Prep Jr./Sr. School in Worcester County!

No improvements to this school for years, yet tuition continues to rise. An administration that refuses to change or adapt to the changing times. Sports programs are all about who you know. Your child will NOT be given a fair chance to compete on just there skill level. The administration knows about the situation but chooses to closes there eyes to what is going on. Please do your homework about this school. How much in donations comes back from former students ? There is a reason, they don't give back.Ask former/present students, to dispute this review. You'll find they won't be able too. There are better choices.

Communication between teachers and parents does not exist. Unless you are in top of your class, teachers take very little interest in your child. Don't expect extra help for your child. Teachers are outrageously snotty. Leadership of the school is a joke. What a waste of our money. Avoid this school!

It is my opinion that Saint Peter Marion High School in Worcester Massachusetts is the single worst institution of secondary education in the state of Massachusetts. With it s disintegrating infrastructure, outdated textbooks, record drop-out rates, low teacher wages, high faculty turn-over; excessive nepotism, and atmosphere of unfairness; Saint Peter Marion is an embarrassment to anyone associated with high school education. It would be a mistake of the highest order and a serious act of parental negligence to send your child to this school.

As a Transfer student from Framingham HS i feel that this school lacks in Electives and Gym.. FHS Has TV Studio that produces TV every morning and has a strong and wide choice of extracricular activities.. Also this school does not have a good fitness program. it has a candy machine in the cafe and also only 1 cred is required to graduate compared to other schools thats a little unhealthy. the administration is great. Strong discipline but events do happen but rarely

I am glad I have sent my children to SPM High School. The attention they receive is great. No where in other schools is it as easy to get extra help from a teacher - if asked by the student. It's a family here, some political squabbles in the sports area, but that in my opinion is because there is authority between the school administration and the atheletic director, but as I said that is my only complaint, and every family has it's issues. I am not sending my children for sports but for the education and socail development to prepare them for college and life.

My daughter attends st peter marion and likes the school very much. The teachers seem strict and there is mounds of homework from each teacher. I do wish that more communication betwen teachers would lessen some of the homework. I don't think they know how much time all this takes and the children have other responsibility at home too (dinner/chores etc) but over all I'm happy with the school so far

I'm a student at St. Peter-Marian and I just transferred in as a junior. I absolutely love the school and cannot say a bad word about it. The teachers are great, the students are welcoming, and there are so many clubs and sports to join, meeting new people is so easy. I would definately recommend this school to anyone who asks.

I absolutely love St. Peter Marian - as a former student I would clearly say that it is one of the most top notch schools around. Aside from the over emphasis on sports and the ridiculous politics that engulf their programs, this school is amazing. It teaches great academic responsibility and a genuine respect for everyone. The teachers are amazing and really provide the best education around. Going from this school to college was easy because they prepared me exceptionally well. Purple pride all the way!

I think that the St. Peter-Marian Junior High School is a jewel in the cap of St. Peter-Marian. It is a sanctuary that provides a protective and disciplined atmosphere that promotes education and social development. This environment is especially beneficial for the junior high aged child. The faculty are warm and friendly yet exude discipline and accountability. It is virtually impossible to 'fall through the cracks' at St. Peter-Marian. The students and faculty are well in tune with each other. My child loves the school, as do I.
