OLA is a great school our child has been going there for 5 years and the teachers have all been great so far. The principal is fair and really cares about the children and the school.

We love OLA! My family has been part of the OLA community for the past four years. We are impressed with the caring faculty and high level of parent involvement. It is a wonderful school, and one I strongly recommend.

Some teachers are quite immature and talk about personal problems with the students. The school is VERY clique orriented. Girls hang out in 2 sep. groups. Come on its school not a party. Boys talk about immature things and believe in immoral things. I am very unhappy with this school

We love OLA. The principal is fair, involved, caring and an excellent administrator. The curriculum is solid and challenging. I echo the comments of those who have indicated that their children were well-prepared for high school as my son made an easy transition to Saint Peter-Marian High School in Worcester.

We have been very happy since our daughter first started attending OLA 6 years ago. Our child has been challenged academically in a nurturing environment where she can be herself. Class sizes tend to be large but the school is still small enough that it feels like a family.

This is a good example of a community school. Parents are very involved (Just try and get a seat to any performance where the kids are involved!) and the teachers make the curriculum challenging. It's probably one of the most well rounded schools in Worcester. And the kids coming out of OLA are well prepared for any high school they choose. As with anything, you get out of it what you put in.

My daughter graduated from OLA and we miss it terribly! She is very prepared for high school, I couldn't have asked for a better elementary school education for her. OLA is a great school. The principal knows every child and every parent, the teachers care so much about each student's success. The kids are involved in so many things there like National Junior Honor Society, yearbook, the school newspaper, soccer, basketball, and the list goes on. They do so much to make it a well rounded education. I continue to recommend OLA to everyone I know with young children.

No leadership, communication or academic excellence. More focus on fundraising! How did they EVER get accredited?

Our school is a safe and loving environment for all children pre-school to 8th grade. The school is aging gracefully and could use a lot of updating. We are also in need of regular volunteers for any extra curicular events, ie. sports, music, arts. The children are involved in our community and appreciate our surroundings. My children love their school and so do we.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
