About me

Hello, I have worked in the Campbell Union School District for 19 years, starting as a tutor/translator, becoming a teacher, and then an administrator. I served as the ELD coordinator at the district office, and was a resource teacher. I then was a home school teacher. Eventually, 10 years ago, I became a principal. At Village School, where I served for 7 years, we moved the school from being close to closed down, to serving 260+ students as a California Distinguished school with an API of over 900. Three years ago, I moved back to my original school, Blackford Elementary. The changes are palpable! The school is cleaner and in better maintenance condition. We have all new playgrounds and interiors. We're proud to say that we haven't had any staff turnover due to wanting to leave the school, or terminations, in two years, which is leading to higher achievement scores. Student safety and campus climate are on a dramatic upswing. I am proud of the staff on site, and the support we get from our District Office. Great things are "afoot." Come join our re-emerging community!
