Favorite blog intro I've read to date: "Disclaimer: This document may contain some sarcasm. Do not be alarmed. Due to the recent mindblowing experiences at my daughter's school, I have become fascinated with teen tribes. Although every single clique claims to be unique, they pander to the same conformity they scoff at when they are referring to adults. LOL. As noted in Reviving Ophelia by Mary Pipher, "Girls struggled with mixed messages: Be beautiful, but beauty is only skin deep. Be sexy, but not sexual. Be honest, but don't hurt anyone's feelings. Be independent, but be nice. Be smart, but not so smart that you threaten boys." And as I am finding, not so smart that you threaten girls.
