major pet peeves: *too many worksheets=not enough play time *not a believer of homework *standardized teaching=eliminates teacher creativity, forces kids to learn in a cookie cutter fashion, and assumes that children do not have unique learning styles *continued ignorance amongst parents and teachers about ADD and are quick to say that ADD & ADHD children just need "more discipline" (case in point: i have two daughters w/ ADD and but NO BEHAVIORAL PROBLEMS) (sorry for typing w/o caps!! one hand is in a cast:(
