I'm a Product Manager here at GreatSchools and have been a part of the team since April 2007. Prior to my job here, I taught writing and computer skills at a high school in Michigan. From there, I helped create digital video and audio for a Web site for K-12 classrooms in Chicago. I moved to the West Coast in 2007 and haven't once looked back at those cold, snowy Midwest winters...

I went to an all-girls high school, so it wasn't unusual to bring a same-sex date to prom. Groups of friends would often go together and have fun.

I saw this on CNN this morning. Now that I know the background, I might agree with the decision. The kids were not hugging for appropriate reasons.
