I was a student here, and I loved it. It was really loved it. The teachers were great, and it was really a wonderful experience for me. I'd do it again in a second. If you or your kid gets a chance to go to this school, I'd highly recommend, both as an educational building, and a wonderful place to grow up, meet friends, and figure out what kind of person you really are.

The best possible experience with the most qualified techers. My daughter recieved quite an excellent education from this comprehensive school environment, and as a parent I'd have to say it was also fun and enriching for me.

Goodwillie was the greatest experince of my life and I will never forget it, I learned so much and it tottaly changed my life. The experiences I had there are ones I will always remeber and will hold close to my heart. I took a big risk going and lost things I thought I needed, but I have never regreted it ever in my life.

This school has it all for the child you can't keep inside. The authentic learning that takes place here is second to none. Students looking for academic challenges, personal growth and an out of the box experience will find it here. The small school atmosphere is perfect for this setting.(any larger and the program would loose it's effectiveness) The academic expectations, from my experience, exceed those at other schools, even within the outstanding district.

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Michigan used the Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading and writing; in grades 5 and 8 in science; and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies. The MEAP is a standards-based test, which measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Michigan. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.

Beginning in the 2011-2012 school year, the Michigan State Board of Education implemented new definitions of what it means to be proficient on the MEAP test. The new standards for proficiency are higher than in previous years and the percent of students earning a proficient score is expected to be lower as a result of this change.
