In an environment where "schools of choice" reigns supreme, Adrian Public Schools has the most to offer all Lenawee Co. residents. Whether your child is gifted academically, (AHS is now an International Baccalaureate School), artistically, (Music and Visual Arts Teachers are leaders in their respective fields and are professionals outside of the school) or athletically (The department hosts a myriad of sports ranging from football to bowling) there is something for your child at APS. Adrian also hosts the greatest diversity in the county. This is important due to the wide globalization of our country's economy and our understanding of the rebuilding process which must take place in the next decade. I want my children to work with as many languages, cultures, economic classes, and political views so they can be educated when choosing their career paths. As a parent of future Maples, there is no other school of choice.

The school is run very poorly and has no attendence policy; I personally know a student who has not attended a full day of class this trimester and has recieved all A's and a B. The ex-principal was asked to resign pending a police investigation due to allegations of alleged unprofessional behavior with a student. Our Athletic director has been suspened since April for innapropiate behavior with a student dateing back to 20 years ago. Our previous athletic director was asked to resign from techumseh schools because of what he allowed athleats as well as coaches to get away with; and now he's the vice principal at AMS! After spending the last four years at AHS I would not reccomend this school even to my enemys.

I have three three children in Adrian Public Schools and they are all thriving in the classroom and are enjoying the extracurricular activities as well. When I moved here, I was warned about bullying and gangs and so far, I have found for a school this size, very low bullying and as for gangs, (I grew up bringing a knife to school) the accusation laughable. I have been working in an administrative position at the high school and have had wonderful interactions with the students. I am always greeted when I walk down the halls and there is such a positive buzz here. This school is larger, has more diversity in people and courses, and a superb arts program. I'm so glad I didn't listen to my neighbor who encouraged me to take my children to a smaller school.

I am a past student at Adrian High School and if you want to make the best out of the experience, you can. I go to Hope College, one of the best schools in the state (MI). There are many success stories from Adrian. It depends on how you spend your time while you are there.

Adrian High offers many academic programs however the social environment is tough to deal with. Bullying is common & for the most part ignored by administration. High drop out rate
