As a former student and now teacher in the elementary building, I am proud of what our students accomplish. We were one of the first schools in the county to be a MiBLSi school and now most districts in the county and surrounding counties are implementing it. When compared to the three elementary schools nearest our district, AKRON-FAIRGROVE ELEMENTARY HAS THE HIGHEST RANKING OF 7 COMPARED TO Caro, USA and Reese and we have the same ranking as Essexville-Hampton Elementaries. We may be a small school but we have pride an want the best for ALL of our students.

You won't find a small community school better than this one! The teachers are highly qualified, work together as a staff, and truly work to meet the needs of the students. There are many intervention programs and activities for children to become involved in. There are many small group activities and a better teacher-student ratio so that children get the individualized attention that they need to be successful. The parents are involved, the principal is dedicated and the staff is friendly. My husband graduated from this school and there is no other place we would want to send our children. Akron-Fairgrove is moving in the right direction!

I am still a student at Akron-Fairgrove. This year I am a senior. I think that A-F has a lot of school pride, they have enough activities if your child likes sports they can play because there are no tryout. It is a small town school with that kind of feel. The teachers know all the students by name they also make time to get to know the students!
