P.L.E.S. is led by an outstanding administration. The superintendent and the principal work together in a complimentary manner with a sincere love for kids, and their congenial natures are unfailing in their dealings with all parties concerned. The teachers make a caring team, that is always ready to go the extra mile to help the student experience success. Each teacher's gifts and talents are recognized and utilized in order to present the best that each has to offer. The support staff works to help create a safe, pleasant, and healthy environment for everyone. The curriculum offers the student a well-balanced educational challenge. Parents have numerous avenues and opportunities to be involved with programs and activities. Sports are popular sources of fitness for the student. Sporting events are carried out on well kept fields and tracks spread out on the grounds of the main building--a nice special-needs friendly structure. All this, in a small town setting, overlooking the beautiful Keweenaw Bay on Lake Superior. It's an all around great place to teach and a great place to learn. P.L.E.S. is a great place to work and play--simply a great school!!
