This school is a great place to grow-up and lean in. One of the first schools in northern Michigan to obtain the freedom to learn grant giving every student a personal laptop to use. The teachers are encouraging and truly love to teach. As of 2007 there is even a Mandarin Chinese Language and culture class. I love being a student at Bear Lake. In my opinion it is one of the best schools around.
This is a great community school where everyone knows each other and their families. Education is first and formost with outstanding teachers and staff. Extracurricular activities include total community pride and encouragment. I am proud to be a Laker
Bear Lake use to be the highest rated in the state what has gone wrong ,the teachers ,to many extracricalur activites,or the students what ever the reason we pay much to many taxes to see this school be so low in the state averages
