was very pleased to have my 3 granddaugters enter mid year, and they were treated as if they have been students there forever. Great staff, the teachers were exceptional. Every request we made to principal, Mrs Mida was always addressed and usually resolved promptly. It was a good experience for the girls.

my three children have been in van buren public school system for the last five years. This year I am very upset by the new curriculum they have adopted this school year it is very upsetting to think the school board thinks that our k-3 just need to learn the basic essentials what happened to math science social studies and english. Who gives the school board the right to use our children as guinny pigs to this new curriculum. They have invested our tax payers mony in this curriculum that none of us as parents even new about. I will not let my children fail, my children will be competing with chineese japan india and we are already falling short to them. I will be driving my kids to a new district next year I suggest everyone else do the same run far from van buren school district if you care about your childs future.

Academically the school is excellent, but a lot is left to be desired of the staff.

Edgemont is a wonderful school. My three children are receiving a first rate education. Mrs. Mida, the principal, is an excellent leader. The curriculum is agressive and the teachers are kind and loving. My wife and I are very happy with our experience at Edgemont.

I have two children attending Edgemont and I feel they are receiving an excellent education. They attended a private school in the past and I feel that the teachers and support staff at Edgemont are superior to any others. The teaching techniques are fresh and creative and my precious children feel safe in Mrs.Mida's care. I highly recommend this school to other parents looking for motivated teaching professionals in a warm, friendly school.

My Daughter has attended this school for 3 year now. I am an involved parent who also works fulltime. Every teacher has been open to me spending luch hours in the classroom. I have also witnessed several different types of teaching styles that have been terrific in aid the learning process.
