Do not send your kids to this school, The teachers are bad . The bus situation is horrible.
This school does an oustanding job of challenging students to succeed. I feel their approach to education and athletics truly prepares them for the future. I feel the staff works very hard at holding themselves and the student body accountable to a higher standard. I highly reccomend anyone to entrust their chidren at any level within this school system.
I am a parent of students of BHS I am very disappointed in the level of teaching or should say lack of, I feel the quality of teachers are sadly lacking the ability or the care to help these kids demographically this is a poor district and the kids come from a lot of broken homes yet NO ONE cares about the kids unless your on the board or 'pillar' of the community or go to the church there I feel there are way to many double standards the hypocrisy that goes on there is crazy. I feel that this school doesn't offer much in the way of education and that is very very sad.
I am a student still attending BHS. I belive that BHS is going downhill. Students who attend this school feel that most of the staff only show up for their pay-checks. We feel that most of the teachers,(though not all) just all together quit caring about the students who attend this school. If you are planning on sending your child to this school, be warned that if your child is not Christian, or is not a strait A student, they will not be welcomed by most of the staff, but the students such as myself will be more then willing to welcome any new students. Although most of us are beginning to transfer to different schools in the area, some of the stundents have no choice but to graduate from a school with teachers that seem to not care. It would best to pick a different school for your child.
Although I am no longer a student at BHS I have to say that when I was taking my classes there,I felt very welcomed by the students and the teachers. The teacher help their students with all that they can, and want the children to have an open mind about things.
Hi my name is donna and i went to bloomingdale high school. And i think it is a very good school for kids to go to. I am 31 yars old now and i live in alabama now, but i would have my kids go there if i was still in michigan. I think if a kids wants to learn they will, you can not blame it on a school. You make your own chooses like me. I did not get my deploma. But i wish i would have. But that was me not the school. Bloomingdale high school is a good school.
Although I am not a parent, I am a current student of BHS, and I'd like to give a warning, don't make your child go to this school if they are open-minded about anything. and much of the adminstration (who usually believe you're a bad student, even if you have a spotless record and a 4.7 on the 4.0 scale). Please consider that it is encouraged to be just like everyone else in Bloomingdale before you send your child here. Thank your for your time and concerns.
