Excellent academics coupled with strong character building are the main emphasis of our school. Both our kids love attending C.A.B.
After attending an open house at CAB, we knew there was no other school for us. Love the focus on fine arts and character education. The atmosphere is welcoming and encourages kids to be themselves and feel comfortable expressing themselves. Small class sizes allow for each child to progress at their own pace with much one-on-one interaction.
Great school; love grandparents' day! Results in creative kids.
I have 3 children who have attended or are attending CAB. We travel about 30 miles each way to get our children there because we believe the school, the administration, the teachers, and the education our children receive is excellent. The school provides a well rounded education, exposing the children to many different diciplines in the arts, while not skimping on the academics at all. Our older daughter was well prepared for college, and was even able to help some of her classmates in some of her college classes. I have recommended this school to many, and would continue to do so without reservation.
Concord-Boyne is a wonderful school for my children because the environment is warm and supportive. The curriculum is challenging and varied. The staff are dedicated and professional. I highly recommend this school to anyone who feels strongly about their children's education.
My children love to go to school! we attended the local public school for two years. I was invited to the open house at concord boyne. So i thought it was important to always look at all of our options when it came to education. When we left the school, my 8 year old son said, mom please tell me i can go to school there! it was one of the best desitions we made as a family. The staff is awesome...This group of teachers have a passion for making education fun and exciting. These children love thier teachers. Another thing that i am so greatful for is the free after school program. Students that can not be picked up until later have a place to go for homework, games, sports, and snack. Concord incorporates values with education. This staff cares beyond meassure...It's like a private school education, for free. Mb
My child graduated in 2001, and got a full scholarship to university, graduated cum laude, and now has a full scholarship to law school. I think that speaks to the quality of education available at Concord Academy Boyne.
This school is great for kids who like smaller school and who like the arts. The students are mostly friendly, there may be fights but every one always seems to become friends again, the teachers are awsome with the kids, they dont have to worry about being embarrezsed about asking for help all kids do!
The teacher involvment with the children is great, many of the teachers are young and new to the school. All the staff are very personable with the children. The small class size allows for more one-on-one. The secretary is awesome. The ORFF(k-4 music)and dance are out of this world. Lunchtime hockey, WOW!(along with chess and other activities). 4 members of administration is over kill in a school of 200+/-. Administration delegates many responsibilities onto staff instead of helping bare the burden. 1of4 members actually teach in the classroom. Parental involvement is stong from the same core group. More person to person needs to be done to get parents involved. They have a great weekly news letter. Special education is improving.
I am a student of Concord Academy Boyne, and I must say that going to Concord was the best thing to happen to me in a long time. There, I learned to be me. It's been easier to make friends here than anywhere else I've ever been, and that's saying alot! There's no real 'Cliques', i.e. you don't reall yneed to work your way to th etop here. You're accepted for who you are here, and I like that. I've seen may people, myself included, become quick friends with another kid in a matter of minutes. And acedemically, I haven't seen a better school that isn't college. CAB's teachers are very experienced and care deeply for each student, giving them as much help as needed whenever. I don't see it as a matter of too much deliberation when considering a school for your child in the Boyne City or Charlevoix area.
