No walls makes it even more difficult for teens to focus. Some very good teachers but others don't seem to care even when you offer to do whatever is needed to help. Music instructor (from HS) never returned my phone or emails, at least the other teachers did that.
I really don't like this school! Usually, the work, is too easy, and there are way too many worksheets. This school, has no walls. What I mean by this, is that they use pull out dividers to make up the classrooms. I find it extremely hard to concentrate, in this noisy environment. There are some very nice teachers, but my experience shows, that most of the teachers, don't care about the students in any way. Compared to the rest of the school, the band program, is very good. The band scored a 2 at the band and orchestra festival this year. 1 being best, and 5 being worst. If you are considering going to this school. Please be careful. If you are planing on going to college, you may want to consider another alternative.
The teachers at this school expect the students to respect them, but they give the students no respect in the first place. The diciplinary system is not very fair. The principle has on numerous times written refferals to students with no proof except another student's word. I highly recommend that you try to find an alternative school for your children.
This school is an awesome place for kids to make friends. The teachers really love to help the students excell. Many extracurricular activities are also offered on the campus. The parents have a major involvement in the child's role at BMS. Progress reports are given out weekly, so the parents can always contact the school if grades seem to be slipping.
