I am very pleased with Madison. The staff and the atmosphere makes this a school a place I want my children. The administration is working overtime to improve all areas of the school and each student is valued and important!

Madison provides such a warm, caring and positive learning environment for students. The rapport between staff members and administration is wonderful! Madison Academy provides a safe environment for students to learn at their own level. I am truly thankful for such great co-workers, administration and students. I wouldn't choose to work anywhere else!

This is my second year teaching at Madison Academy and I am grateful for the wonderful staff and students that I work with daily. I enjoy the relationships that I have been able to form over the last couple of years with students, parents, administration and teachers. It is wonderful knowing that we work as a team at to create the best educational plan for each student.

Madison has come such a long way in the recent past. Students are being taught at their own individual levels by a staff that truly cares. I am grateful to have such amazing coworkers! Madison students are able to participate in extracurricular activities and community service projects that truly show Madison's commitment to making a difference.

My children seem to like their teachers and they do fairly well at school. I must agree with another reviewer though, they have lots of plans and very little follow through. They don't enforce their own rules and timely communication is a joke. They need some major organization. They haven't been around for very long and it shows. There are just too many last minute calendar changes. If a child needs an item for a classroom project, we should get more than 1 or 2 days notice. In about 10 years, once they get all the kinks worked out, I could see Madison being a great school, until then, they are still in the growing and learning process.

New Principal coming in 2011- 2012 is even messier!! Full of promises and a "0" on delivery.

I found this school to have a freindly office staff and the teachers are wonderful. However, they are extremely unorganized. Many tasks are started but never completed. They talk about all the wonderful plans they have, but after having my children there for two years, they still have no electives, no advanced classes, no choir, NO LIBRARY!! The cheerleading they talked about never really happened. They did have an actual Drama class at the middle/high school level this past year...but never had a school play. My children and I were constantly disappointed by things they "planned" but never actually happened. So much time is spent on discipline and students with learning disabilities that the high achievers are rarely recognized..let alone challenged. Madison has potential if they can only get their act together...unfortunately I don't think my kids can wait .

We have the best teachers/para-pros/office staff in Genesee county and the students are very respectful.

Madison Academy is wonderful. They have a very organized fashion of their curriculum that I admire for my Kindergardner & 7th grader that teaches them self discipline when it comes to their academics.

Madison Academy has been a blessing for my son. He loves his teacher and this school is so family driven that it makes me proud to know that my son is a Madison Academy Eagle!

It has all day kindergarten, gym has not been kicked to the curb as some Flint schools have done. Smaller classrooms size.
The staff really cares about my children and their education.

We have small classroom sizes, more one-on-one with students, and teachers who genuinely care and want to make a difference with each student.

Because I know that they want the best for my grandchildren. They work with the parents to keep them aware of what is going on with their children. They make the parents aware of what is being taught to the students. What books they will be reading and any videos.
