Both my children attended this school. It is a friendly environment where each child had the resources to be who they chose to be and they learned to the best of their ability. I would highly recommend it.

Disney provides an quality education. The staff does a great job with the children. The one problem with the school is the friendliness. The school very much has a clique of parents that seem to be running the school with the principal.

I have a student that went to this school from k-6th grade and is now in high school. I also have a student attending this school now and is in the forth grade. I would not have them to go to any other school. The principal and the teachers are all wonderful. I also have a new born and when he is ready to start school, I plan on sending him here.

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Michigan used the Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading and writing; in grades 5 and 8 in science; and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies. The MEAP is a standards-based test, which measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Michigan. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.

Beginning in the 2011-2012 school year, the Michigan State Board of Education implemented new definitions of what it means to be proficient on the MEAP test. The new standards for proficiency are higher than in previous years and the percent of students earning a proficient score is expected to be lower as a result of this change.
