I love this school. The food is fantastic (my daughter says) and the teachers are very nice and helpful. The Principal and Vice Principal allow no Riff-Raff in the halls, classrooms, etc. and punish it accordingly. I learned from my Child, that the tests are fun, but it takes her a while to finish, and she says they're difficult. Over all, this school is the best school.

our experience at legg middle school was very bad. my childre4n in 8th and6th grades. i would recommend finding another route beside legg middle school. my children now go to a chartered school, where i know they will get the education they deserve, instead of going to school and being bullied all day, they acually can concentrate on their school work, rather then the bullys

In one word? Excellent! I have had 2 boys go through LMS, and it was a great experience for both. We found the teachers to be dedicated, caring and helpful. Through the 5 years my boys were there, we encountered 2 issues - both which were handled effectively and promptly by the administrators. Thank you, LMS staff, and keep up the great work!

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Michigan used the Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading and writing; in grades 5 and 8 in science; and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies. The MEAP is a standards-based test, which measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Michigan. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.

Beginning in the 2011-2012 school year, the Michigan State Board of Education implemented new definitions of what it means to be proficient on the MEAP test. The new standards for proficiency are higher than in previous years and the percent of students earning a proficient score is expected to be lower as a result of this change.
