Pine Island Elementary has done an exceptional job of providing my children with a good education, safe & kind surroundings & opportunity for me as a parent to become more involved. In the past the only thing I could see needed improvement was the updating of text books in some subjects which they knew was needed and now they have implemented. Pine Island truly has an exceptional staff all the way around from their teachers, office staff, janitors to their kitchen helpers and volunteers. The care they have taken in providing our children here with so much opportunity doesn't stop at education. The parent, school system and over all community involvement is out standing! I highly suggest Comstock Park Public Schools & area for raising a family.

My daughter attends Pine Island. I am not impressed with her teacher, the quality of education or the administration. Well, lack of administration. The school has had 4 principals this year alone. The curriculum is lacking and is far behind that of other nearby districts. The school does not do a good job teaching responsibility or character traits as most of the students are lacking in both.

The teachers are good, but very clique'. The rules tend to be excessive and do not encourage individuality in students. They focus on the core circulum and nothing more. The kids learn enough to move on to middle school, but they don't come away with warm fuzzy memories of the place.

This school is a wonderful place for our children. If you want your students to attend a warm, caring school that has high expectations for you children, that incourages students be responsible for their actions and their school work this is the school for you! The school building and grounds are beautiful. I wish more elementaries were this wonderful as every child would benefit from this kind of environment.

This school does not care about what parents think about anything. The teacher quality of education is poor. If you want more for your children, I wouldn't recommend this school.
