My son is in 4th grade. As I watch him progress through Elementary school, Dansville School staff members continue to challenge him and help him grow. They also work hard to address the difficult topics such as appropriate behavior (often discussed as bullying) with all grade levels. The small town family atmosphere is a comfortable place for studnets to build the skills they need as they continue through life.

Dansville School is proactive in addressing bullying in a way that enhances the relationship between students, parents and the school by offering training to parent about how to help students exhibit positive behaviour. This is a wonderful program for every parent. The meetings are being taught by the school social worker. She is an excellent choice for this course because she sees how all of the students are struggling or excelling. I am excited by the School's willingness to be proactive!

Dansville Elementary School is an outstanding place for children to learn. The desire to help each child succeed in academics has helped achieve an AYP grade of 'A'. A rural setting with small class sizes allows for more teacher/student interaction. Faith Norman is a phenomenal principal that strives for better education of not only students but parents and staff. Music, art, gym are 'specials' that each grade participates in. Spanish is one of the 'specials' for grades 1-5. The school received a Spanish Grant to help improve technology and teaching of a second language. Sports are offered through the DCAA community group. Parent involvement is encouraged as it helps in the success of the children. Many ways to volunteer. The elementary PTO is always looking for new faces and fresh ideas.
