Dansville Middle School has exceptional teachers who create an exceptional learning environment. 8th graders at DMS also go on an amazing trip to Washington D.C. every spring. Language Arts, English, Reading, Social Studies, Geography, Science, Math, Algebra I, Health, Computers, Media Production, Exploratory Spanish, Spanish I, Gym, and Band, among others. DMS offers extracurricular activities such as baseball, football, and Science Olympiad. There is also Power Hour, where students with a failing grade get homework help. I feel that there is a very high level of parent involvement, as many school board members are parents of children enrolled in Dansville Schools. The PTA is also very involved in school fundraising and trips. One thing DMS is lacking is a good building.
