Teachers are great, but the students are loud in class and makes it hard to focus in class!
Getting administration to comunicate or return a call is like having you teeth pulled!
I am impressed with the new administration. They are professional and dedicated. I am excited about the upcoming experiences and programs Robichaud has to offer.
I am a pareent @ Robichaud, This is a last resort for my son as well. We moved away and came back, my first chioce was Inkster High that was a big mistake, so i choose Robichaud it isn't what it use to be when i grew up but its better than the above mentioned school, the teachers are wonderful and caring. Yes, our school board and teachers need some help and more communication from parents.for some reason children here become a product of the environment. The kids seem to have more peer pressure over each other and stronger bonds. My son comes home talking about the walls are falling down , the fights at school, but aleast we don't have to worry about metal detecters and shootings. so overall the school isn't bad but parents need to take more control.
I am a student @ Robichaud, This is a last resort school. Teachers are wonderful, it's Mrs. Harris ,the principal, at least thats what shes supposed to be, that concerns me. She doesn't have a good connection/bond with her students. My mother has worked for the Westwood district now for 10 years now and has enrolled both me and my older brother into Robichaud and it wasn't until this year that she found out that Mrs. Harris was the principal!
I am a current student of Robichaud and overall the school is well mannered. Even though the school has its fights and things of that matter, all schools do. The only promblem I have noticed is that Mrs. Haris who is the principal is like a bear in a cave. All she does is sit in her office all day and you will be lucky to see her during lunch. -IM THE BIGGEST BOSS THAT YOU'VE SEEN THUS FAR!!!
I am a graduate of Robichaud. This is school is not a good school for children that want to go to college. This was the worst 6years of my life (7th-12th). I haven't and will not go back to visit this school. There are a few teachers that shouldn't work there, because they deserve a better school system. I can honestly say that I have seen Ms. Harris total of 8times, that includes graduation. They don't have much to offer and resources are very limited. If your child plans to go to college this school is not for them.
Good Quality teachers, Nice learning structure, Out of control at times lot of things go un-noticed.Principal doesn't run the school, the assistant principal runs the school.
Hello,im a parent that had 3 children attending robichaud high school.I only wanted them to attend the school because of all the activities that robichaud offers but other than that this school education level is not where it should be thats why i took my kids out of there. The students and the teachers do not focus on the childrens education the whole school is based on sports and extra curriculum activities.Their parent involvement is not where it should be either when they have meething only a handful of people show up.when i took my children out of their and put them in a better school their grades and meap scores really improved.
I am a student here at Robichaud and I think that Robichaud is run well. We have a lot of fun here and Mr.Brooks is so nice and he takes care of the school. He makes sure students are safe and he solves a lot of problems. Academically many students are passing and they are graduating from Robichaud.I think Robichaud is a great school and I enjoy it!
I was currently a student at Rocichaud. I loved that school and everyone in it. Mr.Brooks and Mr.Mccauley are the most incredible assistant principals that any school could ever want/need.This is a wonderful school. The activities are great and so are the people.I miss my school alot. They really know how to make someone feel at home. All of the teachers work very hard to make sure everyone gets an education.
I have had the pleasure of 3 children attend robichaud sr/jr high school. My daughter graduated in 2005 when it was deemed imposible, my son is currently a junior and plays basketball and football, and my younger daughter is in the 7th rade and plays basketball. I am very much pleased with my decision to send them to robichaud. The principal as well as the teachers really show they care about the kids getting their education at robichaud and further on in life. All the help they need is at robichaud. thanks to all robichaud staff
'I am a student at robichaud high school. I have been attending Robichaud since the 7th grade. Overall the extra-curricular activities are good. But I have a little bit of concern of the approachment of the teaching. Me I succeed well in Robichaud, but other students lack in this area because of the way some teachers teach. I am in the 11th grade now, they have new teachers with new teaching methods. Its an okay school. Its not bad as people say it is. I like it very well in take pride in it'
I took my son out of Robichaud after struggling with his older brother (Who graduated in 2004) in this school. This school has some great teachers but the open school policy has allowed too many undesirable students to enroll. The only reason I allowed my one son to finish there is because he could not transfer anywhere else and graduate on time.
I enrolled my daughter in Robichaud hoping that she would get the education she needs. I was very satisfied with all of her teachers. They actually cared about her and were making sure that she was understanding what was being taught. I want a challenge for my daughter and here at Robichaud I do believe she is being challenged. Whatever concerns that I had, they were addressed and resolved in a timely fashion. I would recommend Robichaud to any other parent. What I would like to see is some type of spelling bee or math bee. There are enough extracurricular activites as well.
My child is a junior high student this year. The assistant principal focuses more on popularity and playing sports than he does academics. This is very disturbing for me because my child excels more in studies. I guess this is why the MEAP test scores are so horrible and why only 21 students out of 150 students received (the greatest honor)awards for being on honor roll all year.
I am a parnt of seven and all my children attends or attened Robichaud high school. It's not just Robichaud but all the schools in the school district does a great job on everything from safety to discipline. My kids were attending DPS until their grades began to lower so I tried the Westwood school district and wow what good report cards I get.Three has already graduated and a few of the nieces and nephews too.I have four of my own attending the school now and my seventh grade student's reading and writing grades sure have improved.I really enjoy the clubs and events that they have there at Robichaud.I recommend Robichaud to any parent
Robichaud has been a great school for my daughter. I lost my job and had to find a cheap place to live, which happened to be in this district. I was considering driving my daughter to school everyday, because her education is important to me. We decided to give Robichaud a chance, and we are glad we did. My daughter is doing better than she ever has before, and she likes her teachers, principal, and councelor. I was nervous about sending her here, but she assures me that she is getting the education that she needs. She says they have nice teachers and nice things. She says she really likes her computer class, which is surprising because she never showed interest in anything like that before Robichaud. To anyone from Robichaud that might see this, thank you for being such a positive influence on my daughter.
My daughter graduated from Robichaud in 2001, she did great in there and goes back to visit from time to time. I just recently took my 12 year son out of a Charter School. When we got to Robichaud, they could not bend over backwards far enough to accomodate my son's special needs. They were the ones that suggested they test him for ADHD and Aspergers. I have always been pleased with the school and their teachers. I am so glad I moved him to Robichaud.
very underrated school, the teachers do a great job and care very much about their students, they seem to take student achievement very seriously as well as their development as citizens, Robichaud gets a bad reputation for no apparent reason, I would send another student here in a heartbeat.
