The teachers are dedicated to their classrooms. The learning environment is very positive. My children have attended for the past 6 years and I couldn't be happier. The principal lives in the neighborhood and is super approachable. The kids love him. The only thing negative I can say is PTA involvement has declined in the past year - sad.

Howard has some really incredible teachers who definitly care about our kids. They go out of their way to work with the children to meet their needs. Class sizes have been steadily going up in the past few years (about 25-29) but our teachers have gone the extra mile to make things work. The District is going through some really rough times lately and many of our programs have been cut but we are managing. We have a diverse student population at Howard and our students really care about each other. Parents are actively involved in our PTA and the PTA provides much needed support with educational programs, classroom materials, and any extras we can do to make student life at Howard successful. Howard kids always do very well on the state standardized tests and always score well above the state average. They are well prepared to move on to middle school. Overall, Howard is a wonderful place to educate your children and is in a great neighborhood to raise your family.
