I feel like Crockett is a good school compared to the rest of DPS schools. And I agree that they do seem to be too focused on uniforms...sometimes it feels like thats all their worried about! But on the other hand they do focus on our future and make sure we do somthing with our lives. Basically all im saying is that if your looking for a DPS high school for your child to attend choose Crockett -'012

Crochett is on tha mark. The students are happy and willing to get the job done. I want to thank mrs.Belcher for hering my prayer to god when my child needed her and her school in the middle of the school year she did not turh us away. My childs whole outlook has changed and is more focused. Thacher's and parents never forget *young people are kids just like we were once and they don't really know what's going on with thier lives just as we are adults and we still don't know what's going on with us truly. I read some the parent reviews and one parent points out some of the negative aspects of Crockett. I just want to point out that Crockett is an excellent school to attend. I experienced first hand what Crockett has to offer and like teachers who do care, and a strategy of educating that kept us focused. The educators kept the kids motivated by entering us into competitions, praising our good accomplishments and and staying active in keeping us on the right track. We had an excellent football team, we were smart, and many of us went on to an institution of higher education. I graduated in the year 2003, and our graduation was beautiful. I don't think no other school could have topped it. So in my opinion Crockett Technical High School was an excellent school.

I think Crockett is a good school to send a child to based on my child's academic performance, (3.2 GPA and he never had a 3.0 in elementary or middle school), the principal, teachers, counselors, coaches, directors, secretaries, security guards, custodian and everyone are on the frontline with students. They are professional and knowledgeable in their areas. PTA leadership has a positive presence. Students are good children. Smaller school setting. I'm very satisfied with Crockett and think it should be amongst one of Detroit's top 5 schools.

Filthy, holes in the wall and floors, toilets that don't work, substandard materials, lack of books, smells like sewage on a warm day, lack of leadership, just disgusting.

Crockett is a good school because the teachers and staff care about students. Teaching curriculum is at state level. Does need more parental involvement.
