I'm not from MI, but in my area, there are always police representatives for the schools, so if you contact the police department, they should be able to tell you about crime statistics and any particular problems that are occurring in the schools.

My son is a junior and he reports no gangs.

The students that are at this school get there by winning a lottery position. It is 95% of students that WANT to be there and get a great education.

Of course, there are kids whose parents want them there and the kids don't want to be. But, those students are in the back of the classroom, and not wanting to participate. You'll find this in expensive private schools too.

The school is rated #1 High Charter High School and to graduate you MUST be admitted to a college.

The staff is par excellence! I am happy my son attends Henry Ford Academy in Dearborn, MI at The Henry Ford!!
