Durand Middle School

My son is being bullied and nothing is being done about this, even when it happened in front of a teacher. He was crying in the hall at lunch because of being picked on and no one called me. He has been punched, called names constantly, and had objects thrown at him in the classroom and nothing is being done. Spoke to the Principle and she didnt even investigate the situation, never even spoke to my son. i am not impressed with this school, and this is my second child that this school district has failed to set the standard for, and my oldest went to a different school because of it.

Durand Middle School has some excellent and caring teachers. Tom Weir, for one, won a trip to Viet Nam, wrote a program on it and brought immeasurable history back to the school. Tom served as a medic in the Viet Nam war and was able to chronicle the changes, etc. from his time to now. But all of the teachers in this school have the same dedication! And they are involved in our community as well.

I think this school is awesome! The teachers are great and personable. Plus it is a fairly new school.

The school itself is beautiful but the children attending are very closed to new people. My children were not accepted and we moved out of district.
