I have a child that attends here. I love this school! her classes test grades were above average for their district. You can read how well this school does on the district info page. The teachers act like teachers and do their jobs in making sure every student is as successful as the next. Just keep in mind that it is your job to do the parenting @ home! Thanks Bellview for always striving for the best in your students!

My child goes to this school now and her class has 29 children in it! That is way too many for one teacher. My child has trouble in a few areas and can not get the help she needs. This is the first teacher I have had a problem with in this school though. But because of the lack of suport my daughter gets I think this will be her last year here. Her first two teachers tried to help but there still wasnt enought cause the class sizes are just too big. Other then that this is a good school. All the parents and staff are friendly.

My daughter goes to this school, and is verry happy there. And every teacher she had since start to end I never had a problem with her teacher's. Or anything ealse. But all thoughs years I realized it's all about the parents giving the child saport.

I have lived and worked in this district for many years. My children got a great education in this district. It all comes down to parent support and involvement with your child. The teachers can't do it all. Parents need to raise their own children and not expect the schools to do it for them. For the most part we have caring teachers that are great at what they do. Support staff isn't so bad either.
Excellent School, excellent teachers, Parent involvement is okay but there is always room for improvement there and no tolerance discipline policy is great. Keeps trouble at bay!!

I feel that the Overall Parent Rating is accurate for Bellview. There aren't many extracurricular activities at this elementary school. The teachers are its strongest point. Their involvement with parents and guardians is very good considering the area we are in and the student/teacher ratio.

I have three children in the school and they have all had good teachers. Extracurricular activities could be improved, but the quality of education is more important to me. My youngest has issues with reading, and the teachers have been been supportive and the extra help from the literacy coaches (para pro's)have made a huge impact. They don't get enough credit! Like any school, it seems to be the same parents helping out, but if you approach a parent who doesn't normally attend the pto meetings, they are willing and able to help out at functions.

I also agree that bellview is a wonderful school with caring teachers and a friendly staff. I have had 4 children pass through over the last 10 years. But what i do see is the school is in need of improvement on the meap scores. a 68% is not good enough. We need to figure out how to get that percentage up and keep it up.

I think this is a wonderful school overall. Every teacher my child has had so far has been absolutley fantastic. They genuinely care about the children. I'm hoping this will continue as my child enters the upper level grades. I love how the school puts such a high priority on reading. My daughter loves the AR program. The only problems I had at this school was some teacher shuffling in K and the previous principal. Thankfully the new principal seems much more capable of handling the important job of overseeing our childrens education. The previous principal created much tension among herself and parents, and it took the focus away from the children. I am thankful now this problem has been fixed, and I am generally very satisfied with my children attending this school.

Bellview is very strong in parental involvement. There are many fun activities for the students including an A/R store to spend reading points, fun day, secret santa and more. With a few exceptions the teachers are fantastic. They care generously about the children and have high expectations. My 3 children have been fortunate to have had the oportunity to learn from these teachers. Kudos to the new principal for listening to and working with the parents and teachers for new ideas and resolutions, in the hopes of making Bellview and outstanding school.

All teachers that my child had when attending this school were wonderful. I felt her 4th grade teacher needed some imporvement, but no one is perfect. The princal after Mr. Toutant left well is not a person who should hold that postition. I also found the PTO to be very suportive to the children. Overall it is a great school with wonderful caring teachers.

I have a daughter in the 5th grade, when she enrolled at Belleview she was in the 3rd grade with reading problems she couldn't keep up with her class. Her teachers recognize the problem and had her evaluated. My daughter is now in the 5th grade and is on the same level as her peers, with the tutoring and homework group she attended during her 3rd and 4th year has help my daughter greatly. I commend the school, principal and staff for helping my daughter overcome her problem.

There are a few teachers at this school that I feel deserve recognition. Others I have not came in contact with. The principal, on the other hand...But that is the opinion of one. I suppose there are others, but they might not know about this site in order to post their opinions. I myself took my children out of this school and I know of a few other parents who have done the same. Well what does that tell you? Just give the school board meetings a try. There are quite a few other schools in the district. Try those before you settle on the closest.

I feel that Bellview has many wonderful teachers. As with any school, there are teachers to beware of, but there are more high quality teachers than poor quality. There is a strong PTO at Bellview and many opportunitys for parents to get involved.

The lower el teachers are great...the upper el teachers leave much to be desired, with the exception of the 5th grade teachers...they are awesome.
