Do not send your child(ren) to this school. The whole district is failing, and it starts with the out-of-touch School Board. They have no idea what they are doing. They are hateful and vengeful and are totally clueless as to how to properly run a school district. If you want your child to learn the arts don't bother as the adminstration has ravaged the music and arts programs. The buildings are antiquated and not well maintained. Morale is low among the teachers and families are leaving by the droves every year. I cannot see how the district will be able to stay open in the near future. Maybe the state will come in and take over the district. One can only hope!
Both of my children have been at Mason since early elementary and due to budget difficulty we have seen some of programs fall by the wayside that would have been benificial to the students. However I believe that with the new board and administration working together we will see the decisions that are being made are for the benefit of the students as a whole. This is a top notch school and I am proud to send my children here and feel confident that they will receive a wonderful education that will prepare them for college.
