Im a student at Forest Area and I have been here for my whole life!! We have a very strong leardship from everyone. We don't put anyone down here at this school . We may have are challenegs but we will get through it together no matter what. I love this school!!!!!!!!!
I am a former student of this school and the time I spent there was great. Everyone is very friendly including parents. The support for sports has gone up in recent years due to the success of the football team and the situation is getting better with a new superintendent. The situation involving a teacher-student relationship is a serious one, but should not be looked at if you are considering sending your child to this school. The teaching staff has been improved in recent years due to other staff retiring.
i use to be a student at forest area high school, for half of my freshman year, all of my sophmore year, and half of my junior year. The school is great- my parents weren't involved with the school or anything but i loved it. the techers and rest of the staff were great and all the other students were so nice and accepting. so if you say something bad about forest area, then i dont think you know what you are talking about
You know I see a lot of comments regarding how bad the Teachers and staff are. You who are saying these things, I have a couple of Questions.. Do you have students who cause trouble? Are you as a parent involved in anything at the school? I say instead of complaining walk into your school, and see how you can make a difference! Teachers and Staff are always looking for help, and there is always an group you can join to help out. So stop being so negative, that s just passed down to our kids...instead make a difference.....
This school would not be so bad if the parents were more involved with their childrens education. I also would like it if some of the teachers were more educated in their feild , because I feel that some of the teachers have no clue on what their teaching, some of them give off the feeling that it is just their 'job'. Forest Area also doesnt offer many programs and clubs to the children besides basic art, spanish, chours, band, and shop.
low parent involvement/support. Very low support of athletic programs by school, boosters, parents and community.
We as parents need to wake up and get involved to get this school back under control. We pay taxes to give the super a 90,000 job and he has no experience whatsoever. This scholl has gone downhill since he took over. Enrollment has dropped, there are severe problems that just get covered up.We need to get the board on the ball before there is a recall and they lose there jobs.
Forest Area is a wonderful school district. We have recently moved to the area and are excited about what we have seen at the High School and from the students, staff, and community members we have met. We would be exicted to have our students be graduates of Forest Area.
Maybe parents should pay more attention to the school and quit blaming the school system. It is the parents who are to blame, not the school. Students lack motivation and don't really care about their education. A lot of these kids need to be disciplined. Maybe the parents should pay a little more attention to their kids education instead of blaming the school system when their kid gets in trouble or bad grades.
This school would rate higher if the staff listened to parents concerns and truly cared about the kids.
