I go to woodhaven high school, and i think its a wonderful school, you could get along with the principle and the teachers. i also went to BMS (my favorite school) and patrick henry middle school. So whoever thinks these schools arent good is just because your child doesnt want to learn if you do, then you will pass.!!!!!!1
I am very dissatisfied with this school as well as BMS. I have one son that will finally be out this year and am looking to move the other to a different school next year. I feel that most of the teachers and principles set the children up to fail. It is a very strict school, which on some level would be good, if they focused on the right issues. I feel that both my children would of excelled in a different district. I can't wait for the year to end. Always check on school of choice, wish I would of done it sooner.
I am an alumni and cherished my time in Woodhaven. I believe the teachers care about each and every student and wants them to succeed!
Woodhaven High was a good school, in my opinion. There really isn't too much you can ask of a school that receives such minimal funding. They do the best with what they have. Having a projector in every room is something that is at a college level, not a high school level. The new athletic complex is beautiful and the athletic programs are improving! Personally, I enjoy the English classes available at this school the most.
I would say this school is just excellent
I live in Woodhaven, but I'm leaving the school district because it's absolutely horrible. There's no discipline and the people surrounding me don't care about school; Therefore, every class here is chaos. Teachers don't care either! I have maybe one or two good teachers. The rest don't know what they're talking about.
Woodhaven is a very good school as far as academics are concern but,not every student is a top student in the classroom. The school has a wonderful campus for the students.I talk to a lot of the students and partents and they are not happy with the sports program very much in need of improvement . The athletes are not taught to excel & succeed at the sport they love.Strong leadership need to continue. The sport program teach you how to loose but winning is a good thing that is a life skill.Whatis A sport without the relentless drive to improve and pursuing their goals and striving to reach the next level not only in the claaroom but,in life and in the sport they choose.Woodhaven is a good choice if you want your student to get a good education, not to play sports on a competitive level.
Woodhaven High School is horrible. The students are great but the school is terrible. It's almost a joke to say you go to Woodhaven, because even the teachers laugh at our district. The attendance policy at the high school is strictly followed unlike any other down river schools. also, if you miss the days you can not make them up, giving you no chance to succed. The teachers, they don't really give homework because guess what they haven't had contracts for almost 3 years so they really don't care what you do. Almost every day is a free for all in most of my classes, we do maybe some busy work. We dont have enough text books to take home, therefore you can't study. As my dad said, Woodhaven has a, 'great school district' but guess what, not anymore.
woodhaven high school is a pretty good school. i am a student here at woodhaven and i like it in a way.
I believe the quality of academics is great. I have always been pleased with the acedemics in the school district and this is why I felt it the best place in my area for my child to receive an education. I feel the running of the sports programs could use some improvement. They do not do enough to prepare the students in the 9th and 10th grade for the high school sports. I feel we need a stronger leadership and someone who cares about improving some of the sports programs. It is easy for a child to pay to participate and join a sport but not good for them to learn to excel or succeed.
