Even though I am an employee, my son received no special treatment. He was required to be the best that he could be, he was required to be safe, be responsible, and to be respectful. He was made responsible for his own actions and he was required to be respectfull to all whom he encountered. Brownell's teaching staff are not glorified babysittiers, they are professional educators. They do not allow themselves to be treated as babysitters and the Principal backs them. The children are loved, disciplined and very well educated. Flint Community schools are indeed the best choice. I would be happy with my son in any of the Flint Community schools. I am a product, my 5 grown children are products of which each of them have advanced education best a Bachelor's Degree.

I had 5 children enrolled in Brownell. The teachers I never had a problem with. If the principal was replaced with someone who cares about the childrens' saftey, and education, then the children at Brownell would have a better oppurtunity at succcess.
