The schools overall scores are low. Althought there are improvements. I would not place my kids back ther. To many changes in the last few years. It was ok, but not good enough even tho i heard the principal and staff are great

I really love this school. The leadership and staff have really helped me motivate my son. He use to have no desire to learn, but he talks about his principal and how he changed his thought process on school. I reccommend this school to any parent in the Flint area.

This school is awesome due to the size and teacher to student ratio. The principal seems to have a personal relationship with each student. The principal could have a better relationship with the parents in acknowledging their needs.

My son is an 8th grade student at Center. He is performing above grade level in reading and math. In addition, to the focus on the classroom instruction, he has had many extracurricular activities. There was even an chance for him to see a published author. After his class read the author's book, they were able to have an interesting conversation with him about his life and the message in his book. The new leadership for the school has really helped. The teachers are caring and good.

Now I have 3 children at this school. I like the staff more now than I did in 2004. Center Academy is providing my children a great education. The staff is caring. They have expectations for the students as well as for the parents. They are teaching responsibility at a young age. The teachers and staff are always available. Music, Art, Sports, 21st Century After School programs, before and after school care. Tutoring before, during, and after school is available. Homework help before or after school. This school is working hard to take care of its kids. I really appreciate them.
