We recently removed our child from this school for lack of academic quality. Going into junior year, our child has not written a research paper. The advanced lit. class never had an indepth class discussion or was assigned an essay. Teacher actually read Edgar Allen Poe to class in monotone. Chemistry teacher seemed inexperienced for high school level. Many issues this year, not just our family. Principal Furnas is wonderful. Wish them the best. Feel like we wasted a large sum of money this year.

Powers is an amazing school with great teachers and amazing athletics. They provide a great education in an environment that isn't found anywhere else. Everyone at the schools cares for each other, like a family, no matter what you look like or how you act you can always find people that love you for exactly who you are. The principal is fun and outgoing and some how manages to remember everyone's name, even with so many students. Everyone in the school is great and if I had to choose again I would definately choose Powers =)

While Powers is a good place for learning Christian values, its overall educational program is a bit lacking. While fairly strong in literature courses, its math and sciences (along with computer sciences) programs are weak and do not prepare students well for college. The school community as well is a bit lacking. If I had to do it all over again, I would have sent my children to Carmen-Ainsworth, where the math and science programs are excellent, and I wouldn't have felt like I was spending my hard-earned money for little to no gain.

The quality of the academic programs is unmatched in the area. Extracurricular activities flourish and give every individual the chance to be a part of the community. As a whole parents are involved to the great benefit of the school community.

Powers Catholic High school is an excellent school for students of all types. The teachers care about the student, and they try their best to make sure the student learns the material. They are well rounded in everything academics, athletics, and other extracurricular activities.

Outstanding teachers and leadership. Students grow spiritually and academically. Many students go on to do great things. Several students became physicians (>10) from my class, others became other leaders in the community. Most students go to college. Academically excellent with strong athletics and other extracurricular activities. My niece and nephew go to Powers currently and are doing extremely well. I am proud to be an alum. We do great things because of strong support from family and teachers passionate about educating students in all the ways that really matter.

PCHS is an excellent school! I would reccommend it to any parent looking for quality education, college preparation, and a safe/disciplined environment for their teenager.
