My children seem to like their teachers and they do fairly well at school. I must agree with another reviewer though, they have lots of plans and very little follow through. They don't enforce their own rules and timely communication is a joke. They need some major organization. They haven't been around for very long and it shows. There are just too many last minute calendar changes. If a child needs an item for a classroom project, we should get more than 1 or 2 days notice. In about 10 years, once they get all the kinks worked out, I could see Madison being a great school, until then, they are still in the growing and learning process.

New Principal coming in 2011- 2012 is even messier!! Full of promises and a "0" on delivery.

I found this school to have a freindly office staff and the teachers are wonderful. However, they are extremely unorganized. Many tasks are started but never completed. They talk about all the wonderful plans they have, but after having my children there for two years, they still have no electives, no advanced classes, no choir, NO LIBRARY!! The cheerleading they talked about never really happened. They did have an actual Drama class at the middle/high school level this past year...but never had a school play. My children and I were constantly disappointed by things they "planned" but never actually happened. So much time is spent on discipline and students with learning disabilities that the high achievers are rarely recognized..let alone challenged. Madison has potential if they can only get their act together...unfortunately I don't think my kids can wait .

We have the best teachers/para-pros/office staff in Genesee county and the students are very respectful.

Madison Academy is wonderful. They have a very organized fashion of their curriculum that I admire for my Kindergardner & 7th grader that teaches them self discipline when it comes to their academics.

Madison Academy has been a blessing for my son. He loves his teacher and this school is so family driven that it makes me proud to know that my son is a Madison Academy Eagle!

It has all day kindergarten, gym has not been kicked to the curb as some Flint schools have done. Smaller classrooms size.
