They teach the kids about bullying yet the students are bullied on the school bus but not at the school. The aide lets certain kids tell them what to do.Another hus was needed the assistant principal was supposed to ride on the bus for a week and the principal pulled her off. They needed 2 buses for one route bus Randels wouldn't authorize it.Student's don't wear seat belts either.Plus the limit of students on the bus by law is 65 but Randels exceeded that number all last year.
My grandson went there for first grade abd between his home room, his art teacher, and his reading teacher they couldn't tell he needed glasses.During the 3rd report card period i told his homeroom teacher she didn't believe me.He finally took a school eye test as well as one from Walmart and he couldn't see anything. That was why he was acting up in school he felt stupid. Also there are 2 dogs roaming the halls like they are students. No leases or anything. The principal lied and said no dogs were there but i knew she was lying because my niece and nephew previously went there. Why would a student that was allergic to the dogs have to leave the school, why not the dogs.Randel us the only school in the carmen Ainsworth district that has dogs. The school is prejudice too even thou' the majority of students is african american.
Some of the teachers are pretty good. However, some of the teachers as well as the principal do not seem to genuinely care about the well being of the children. The children are allowed to do and say as they please with no real consequences. I have heard that Randels was once a really good school but is now beginning to go down hill.
My daughter has been going to Randels since Kindergarten. She's in the third grade now and I love the school and teachers. The teachers are very involved and encourage parent involvement. My daughter loves Randels. She is very happy and proud to be a Randels student.
My son has been attending this school since Kindegarten. It was difficult for him adjusting to school, but the school has been wonderful with getting him where he needs to be as far as behavior and academically. The staff is great! He is now in 2nd grade and I must give many cudos to Mrs. Morgan who has been the best teacher yet in regards to keeping the lines of communication open and being creative with helping him learn on his level.
After homeschooling my children for a number of years my husband and I made the difficult decision to put them back in school. We chose Randels elementary and we're very pleased. The teachers and administrative staff are wonderful and my children are receiving a quality education. I really like the diverse ethnic make-up of the school population.
