Galien Township Middle School

I am now a fifteen year old freshmen at River Valley High School in Three Oaks, MI. Even though I have adjusted to R.V. it will never be Galien. People think that Galien is some poor little school that is barely there and that it doesn't have anyone that cares about it. Well I'm here to tell you that many people were effected and hurt when the highschool closed. I also know that if given the great oppurtunity to return to the school we all know and still hold dear to their hearts it's former students would jump at the chance. Several other sutdents that I have met over the past year have expressed to me that they are extremely unhappy where they are and were planning on attending Galien, but unfortunatly due to bad judgement the school was closed. So for those of you with negative oppinions...keep them to yourself!

Our family has lived in Niles for the past five years and I have driven my children to attend Galien Schools all this time. To hear that the High School will be closing has broken our hearts. I attended Galien and I wanted that small, everyone knows one another kind of environment for my children. There is not a lot of sitting the bench in sports because every person is needed and we like that. I believe my three children are receiving a solid education, but there is always room for improvement, and with caring teachers like the ones at Galien Schools we can do that. We love Galien Schools.
