I will forever be greatful for my daughter's teacher. Mrs. Kathy Kolesar is hands down one of the best teachers I have ever come accross. It is teachers like her that make that huge impact with your child. She takes the time to not just teach but to make these children feel special, unique and loved. She doesn't just do this the whole year year long, It lasts the lifetime of the child's school career. At the end of the year she throws a party at her home for all of her students past and present. She lives on a lake. She supplies all the food and has the kids swim, go tubing, boat rides and play on a giant trampoline in the water and do you know what she askes in return? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I am forever greatful that my daughter had the opportunity to have her as a teacher. Our lives are better for knowing her. Mrs. Kolesar is not just a teacher to us. She is much more. She started out as a teacher, developed into a friend and will forever be considered family. Thank you Mrs. Kolesar for being such a great teacher. Thank you for being you. Our lives and the lives of all the children you come across are better for knowing you.
Memorial offers a separate classroom for science investigation which fully allows students to be able to do experiments and more research based learning. An honors program is also offering to students that excel above grade level expectations. Students have a great music program, as well as Spanish. All around, this is a great school.
Memorial is a great school! Principal is in stern and she makes sure everyone does their part. She is always there not MIA. The school always has events and programs going on to keep the kids interested in school. I love the 2nd advance class my daughter is in, the kids in that class have respect, good attention span and they are learning a lot more. The teachers are wonderful. I'm looking forward to my son going next year. You can't put blame fully on the parent, the principal or the teachers for the kids actions but I do believe that how a child does act at home makes a big impact on how they act at school.
We loved our experience at Memorial. The school is best run by Mrs. Pantier, she knows it inside and out. The teachers are wonderful and really care for their children. I have come to love the idea of having the grades condensed into one school, it keeps the teachers on the same page when it comes to curriculum. We have since moved onto Douglas, Farmington, and the middle school and couldn't be happier.
Its sad and dangerous for all the 6 yrs old in this school, that the principal of this school is not capable of handling safety situations properly. She doesnt take full responsibility for ALL the kids in this school " because there are 460 students in the school, and she cant make sure that everyone of them is properly taken care of"- she said. HORRIBLE!
