It's just a great school with wonderful teachers. My son is in his first year there, and loves it!

I have two children in the Goodrich school system, now grades 8 & 12. I have been extremely pleased with the entire system and feel that my children have excelled due to the wonderful teachers and community.

Myself along with other parents don't like the new way of teaching our students. Their teaching organizing rather than the basics. For example, in Math they are given daily assignments which are to be kept in a binder in date order. On test day, they are given a test out of their assignment binder. The test reads go to 10/11 or 10/12 and give me the answers to question 6 and 7. So, if your child has misplaced that assignment they are give an E. What is the purpose of this? Organization. I thought we were teaching Math. How disappointing it is to see your child crushed by test grades given by their teacher. Then she can't understand why this child scored in the top 10% of a state given test yet failed her class. Other parents have told me that this is the new way of teaching and I think it is a very poor way of teaching anything.
