Wonderful School! Cook Elementary is K - 2nd grade and the school right next door (Mason) is 3rd - 5th grade. My oldest daughter attended 2nd grade and is now in the 4th grade at Mason. My other daughter has attended Kindergarten and is now in 1st grade. We love them both! Great teachers who honestly care about the well being of their students and want each one to succeed! When I walk into the front office I am greeted by my name and they also know who my daughters are. I am emailed my daughters grades each Friday to keep me updated on their progress. There are a lot of activities going on plus there is a lot of parent involvement which adds to the success of the school! The principal is actively involved in the school and doesn't just lock herself up in the office. We will be moving at the end of the year and I will miss Cook & Mason - NO SCHOOL could ever replace them!

My eldest daughter who attended Cook and is now in 5th grade w/ Mason absolutely thrived. My second daughter is now at Cook and the teachers are warm, fair, and command the respect and attention from their students. The teachers make school fun and educate through knowledge based games. I feel like we have a whole family in Grand Blanc and it thrives on the concept that, "it takes a village to raise a child!" A+++++++

Cook is a wonderful school. The kids are expected to respect each other and their school. so bully's are not a problem. the teachers are very intuned with the children and help them to stive academically. my girls love to go to school, so that is a great peace of mind for me. Parents are encouraged to be a big part of the school and it's like a having a 'big family' atmosphere.

My son started in the middle of 1st grade. Cook defintely moves at a fast pace academically. But math tutoring is not offered. There is not alot of room for individuality, the teachers don't seem to have time to slow down and learn special things about each student.

I have just completed my student teaching at Cook. I have learned so much from all of the teachers. The staff employees work together as a team to help their students reach their highest potential. This school does not allow any one student to be left behind. The children are eager to learn and have respect for their teachers. Keep up the great work!

This is one of the best elementary schools in Michigan. The teachers are wonderful and the curriculum is up to speed. It is such a nice environment for children to learn in. Grand Blanc in general is one of the greatest places to raise children. Open space, nice neighborhoods and a great sense of community. I would never leave this school district.

Cook is an excellent school. The curriculum challenges students to meet high expectations. The latchkey and after school programs offer children the chance to socialize outside of the classroom. I also like the fact that transportation is provided for after school activities. Spanish is taught beginning in kindergarten, which is another highlight to myself. Another valuable component to Cook is the parents. The entire community is very dedicated to education.
