Both of my children went from kindergarten through 6th grade at Orchard View. In 13 years, I always had teachers who were wonderful, caring professionals, and who always went above and beyond what was expected. The principal is a warm, caring leader who sets a tone of acceptance and high expectations. I can't say enough good things about this school.
I had three children attend Orchard View Elementary School over the last ten years. The dedication to excellence in education is apparent at every level. The teachers are excellent and attentive, the principal is responsive and obviously cares very much about the children, and the curriculum is appropriate and competitive on every level. I highly recommend Orchard View Elementary as an example of education at its best.
We have three children at Orchard View Elementary and we are incredibly impressed with the parental involvement and the skills of all the teachers. We will be moving soon and we are having a hard time finding a school system that can compare.
My child LOVES school, and I thank all of the dedicated teachers and staff at Orchard View for her wonderful experience.
'I have two children that currently attend Orchard View Elementary (2nd grader - Mrs. Westgate's & 4th grader - Mrs. Catlett's class). to ANLC since they were 5 years old. Even though the phrase - The kids always come first has become cliche, I believe that it really here at Orchard View. We (my wife and I) have been extremely impressed with the teachers who are very good at what they do and seem to work hard to bring out the best in our kids. Joe Thienes (affectionately referred to as Mr. T) is the principal. He is very kind and knows each child by name. I don't think that I've ever seen him in a bad mood - he's always smiling and has encouraging words to say to the kids and the parents. As my kids grow and move on, they will surely remember their experiences at Orchard View for the rest of their lives, and so will we!'
