East Kentwood Freshman Campus

The Global Tech 21 program is excellent! It is preparing the students for the work world, building confidence and important research & technical skills that are needed in an office. EK offers many electives to let the kids develop their own interests. The teaching staff is caring, in touch, provide quality instruction. The principle has a parent email list & contacts parents with news or volunteer opportunities. Having attended East Grand Rapids myself, the only thing that I wish was different would be the families/students place a higher value culturally on making good grades, on excelling, but the truth is that socioeconomically disadvantaged families don't tend to hold that value as high. This is the real world.

I am a parent and my son was a freshman last year. I am very satisfied with the academic challenge and extracurricular activities available at this school. My kids have grown up in Kentwood, going to school, playing sports, and being friends with wonderful kids of all backgrounds. They do not see color and I truly believe that they are better prepared to interact in the world than others that have been sheltered.

I'm a freshman at this school. Everyone is really friendly, and its easy to make friends. The vast divercity helps us prepare for the real world. Many try hard in thier grades, and the teachers push hard for exelence. I love to attence EK!!

East Kentwood High School is a very good school and i'd recommend it to parents and their children.The school is a very safe school and the teahcers are wondeful.
