Do the smart thing and go to school in Marquette. Gwinn schools are so ridiculously bad it's not even funny.
Gwinn High School does not really care about their sports programs anymore, the teachers are excelent Though.
Some good teachers who genuinely care about the kids (at least when I went there), but like a previous reviewer stated, you are absolutely nothing if you don't play sports...and even if you do..you are not guaranteed playing time unless you have the right last name. The nepotism at this school is beyond belief. If you child requests to leave the community for college...grant him/her that wish. In closing, send your kids to Marquette schools for a better education and more enriching social experience.
My child goes to Gwinn High School and she's very happy. The teachers are good and if your child hangs out with the 'right crowd' then the students are good too! As for the sports, whoever was saying that the sports aren't very good then you're saying that the children aren't very good! Maybe you should do some more research on Gwinn High School before you say that it's a bad school!
Gwinn high school is a great school for education but if your not in sports your nothing and the cliches are crazy.
Gwinn public schools are not a great place to send your children. They have the lowest MEAP test scores in the county. The sports are terrible, a consistant losing record for football, basketball, and tennis. They closed down the pool, and the swim team had the titles.
