K.I. Sawyer Elementary School

I went to school here in the 60s when my dad was stationed there. 4th 5th and 6th grade.

KI Sawyer Elementary is a very good school with an excellent staff. I highly recommend this school to all the surrounding community on the Old Sawyer Air Force Base. My children have been attending for 2 years now and my wife is very active in the school with volunteer projects.

This school runs a tight ship, with a military style. I do think because of this some of the staff have taken on a somewhat punitive style of discipline, not all children respond to this. In this day and age most schools are using positive reinforcements to encourage the best from their students, students want to succeed, lets make that happen !

This has to be the leading school in Marquette County. The total staff is amazing and dedicated to the education and well being of each student. The need for more money in education is apparent but this school makes the best of it. The dedication of the staff including the wonderful principal, Mrs. Luoma and all of the teachers is amazing. You can find them there at the strangest hours even on the week-ends. When the need for discipline arises, it is done with compassion and love. The environment at KI Sawyer Elementary is that of a family. I am so grateful for the staff and dedication of this school. Thank all of you. And God Bless each and every one.

I have found K.I. to be a very good school they are on top of everything and they let you know as soon as there is a problem with your child and how we can fix it
