My son went to Hillside elementary, and I have to say that although the teachers were very friendly, I have to agrre with the parent who wrote the last comment about Hillside. They do not help or allow your child to excel in this school.

I have two children that attend Hillside Elementary. They have been well taken care of there. The students and teachers work together to ensure the state expectations are met. There are a high number of undereducated and poor parents in the district and I believe the teachers work very hard to compensate for this.

Hillside Elementary is a great place for any child to earn a quality education! The staff works hard to put each child's educational needs first. All students have the ablility to grow and learn through many different teaching strategies provided by highly qualified teachers.

Children are not given opportunities to excel in academics or sports. They are held back and limited by inadequate staff and budget. Parent involvement is minimal, but I think the staff is more comfortable that way, because their shortcomings are not so transparent. Steer clear!!!
