Hastings Middle School

I currently attend the Hastings Middle School. I am honestly counting down the days until I am out. I am an advanced student, and there are no classes that I can feel challenged in. Your classes are also up to a computer, you just get mailed a list and thats that. Nothing here at HMS has much thought put into it. Also, I do not feel that proper discipline is carried out with certain students, there is a very high tolerance for misbehavior. I have to say, rewards are alright. At the end of each marking period, you get to go on a trip. And if you have been good all year, you go somewhere special, this year we are planning on going to Cedar Point. These 'Saxon Star' programs are easy to get in though, you pretty much get in if you are not failing. I would not recommend HMS.

I went HMS and it was amazing. I felt it did a great job in academics and also in extra circular activites. I think I had the best time of my life going to HMS. I teachers were veru experienced and had their curriculum down so that they could teach it very well. I had tons of friends and I still talk to all of them!

good school some parts new some old descent class size, admin needs help, but seem to be improving. pto needs to involve more parents and better meeting time.
