It's a terrible atmosphere. Very Cliquey. The parents are Saginaw Township wannabes, the secretary has a very veiled contempt for those not in her circle of friends. It does NOT make a parent feel comfortable if you just want to go in, mind your business and be concerned with your child. It's not easy to volunteer with the requirements, and unless you are one of the few 'favored ones', they don't really want you there. I'm not griping because I've EVER received this attitude at any other school, I haven't. I've even worked as a sub teacher at other schools, you would think they would want me to come work for free. When my son had issues, the principle seemed very concerned, but when you got down to brass tacks, he really just brushed us off. He just wanted the kid on meds and be done with it. That's not how I approach things.

For HEMLOCK SCHOOLS I have 3 kids there 1 is doing great,1 is doing B average, the other is doing a B/C/average. But I will say the kids are rotten if there is a student that does not fit in they eat alone and play alone, that is so sorry for the child! WHY I have a child there that eats alone all her friends are in a different class they have to eat with their home room not their friends? so those kids have like 10 minutes to sit alone and eat alone?? hello that is not good, they have more to deal with next year when no parents can come in and be aprt of their class! take care my email is TERRY GALL OR tjndkg!aol.com
