sandyview is a great school!!! It may be small but that gives you/child the one on one attention more often and longer than in a more crowded school and every teacher knows every students name and cares deeply for each student. every student there is friendly because the environment is friendly and caring.
Sandyview is a very small elementary school, but it keeps up with the times, and their teachers and faculty members are fantastic! The student to teacher ratio is great. Small classroom sizes means more one on one time for each child with their teachers. I have personally met most all teachers at Sandyview and each one puts their children's learning first, and each one tries to use FUN ways to teach which keeps the kids interested. I have yet to hear a Sandyview child say 'I don't like my teacher.'...isn't that fantastic? The level of parent and community involvement at Sandyview is amazing. Everyday there is one type of volunteer or another walking Sandyviews halls. Whether it be to read a book to a child, make popcorn on Fridays... This little school in the middle of Overisel farm land is a GEM. I'm proud to be a Sandyview family member!
My son started Sandy View as a K student, he's now in fourth grade. We love the school! The teachers are bright, caring, and creative. They all sincerely care for each of the student's education and well being. The teacher to student ratio is perfect. And there are always parents volunteering their time, which is always a plus. As you can see from the MEAP scores in comparison to all the other schools around the area, Sandy View is in the top 2, if not top. I look forward to bringing my daughter and future kids to this school.
