When I came to Kwoods, I was able to get the tools I needed to succeed. I was able to learn at my own pace and finish classes faster as well as receive a much needed challenge. I've been given so many opportunities and so much encouragement. The teachers are great and the students are so laid back, there's not much drama. Everyone can go down their own personal path and become who they want to be because they are seen as an individual and not just a random student like in public school. Overall, without Kwoods, I wouldn't have been able to become the person I am.
It a great school. I love how people are ALMOST as nice as my parents, but the bad side is that they are more instred in their studdies and they dont really have a sturded plan for all their students. The teachers are great. They give a good amount of home work. The students are great, but some times, their is too much drama. After all the schools I have went to this one is good. Stricket, and ok. Peace out!
Great smaller school, I accompanied a group of the Students on a hike in Maryland on the Appalachian Trail this past June, for Project Term. Just another Great program the school has to offer to its Students (and Parents!)
I just graduated from KWHS in June and I absolutely love the staff and how the students aren't just a number, they are a person, and the students care a lot about each student.
Awesome teachers and flexible class schedules - plus Mr. Muennix rules
When Kensington Woods says they are a small personal high school, they mean it. The personal attention that I get from the administration and the teachers is a testament to how much these folks care about my daughter's education. She's never learned so much, advanced so quickly and enjoyed school so much as she does at Kensington Woods.
Because we treat every student as an individual and care about each one of them.
The staff here works as a team to create the best possible opportunity for learning. If you come ready to learn - we will bring it on! :o)
As of 2009, this is our son's 4th year at Kensington Woods High School & it continues to be by far the best charter/public high school we have experienced. With impassioned, hard working teachers, principal and staff. The no tolerance policies for violence, drugs and alcohol are superbly enforced daily to afford the students a safe learning environment. The Mr. Jim Perry is an A-one principal and is attentive to the school's every need. This school improves every year with the most up-to-date and innovative educational methods. K.W.H.S. has dual enrollment (high school/college at the same time) Jr. Sr. years. Upon graduation he will have a H.S. diploma & first yr. of college completed. Thank You to all the teachers, staff & principal. Most of all Thank You 4 charter schools!
This school works with kids at a personal level. Outstanding!
