both of my children have attended Hutchings. My oldest will be in 5th and my youngest in 1st. Every teacher we have had is so welcoming and attentive to each child's individual needs. I could not ask for a better school for my children.

My family moved here in 2005. My oldest started 5th grade and had Mrs. Burch for a teacher who was one awesome teacher. My youngest started 1st grade and had Mrs. Barron who was also a wonderful teacher. Mr. Clay welcome us and made us feel at home. I think Hutchings is wonderful and so are the staff. Hats off to you Hutchings!

My son is currently in Kindergarten here with Mrs. Wildman. He attended begindergarten here last year with Ms. Longeway. As teachers and people I adore them both and have a lot of respect for them and the way they handle the children. I cannot say enough good things about them!!! My son has separation anxiety, but goes willingly and happily to school every day and did last year as well. The school itself is very nice and I feel very comfortable when I'm there to volunteer, etc. I've been happy with the principal, Mr. Clay- although rumor has it this is his last school year (2007-2008). I'm looking forward to what the future holds for my son at Hutchings!

My son will begin 3rd grade this fall. He has had very good teachers and enjoys Hutching. I noticed other schools in the area have higher academic scoring... We need to do better. I do wish we put a little more athletic and exersise time in the kids day. He had Gym 2 days lunch time to get the wiggles out, that is just not enough!

The school is very open to parents. Most teachers have good communication to parents on a regular basis. The kids love the teachers (most!)

My Daughter went to Hutchings last year in the Begindergarten program and i loved it; so did she. Her teacher Mrs. Wildman is so loving and attentive. Great staff, nice people, and the playgrounds are great. I also like the fact that the staff treat the students like equals. They do not talk down to them but to them. That is a BIG deal to me. My daughter loves it there and I look forward to sending my son there when he starts kindergarten. Thanks

New building built in 2003. Principal Mr. Clay came from Northwest before. Overcrowded at 641 students in a building built for 600 max. Redistricting will fix that, at least temporarily. My son attended 2nd grade and had a great teacher. But in 3rd grade I am much less impressed. Watch out for 'team teaching' here- it seems to be a way to put one teacher in charge of 60 students. Next year I am considering private schools instead.
